Acai - what is it?
Acai berries (Euterpe Oleracea) are small, dark purple fruit, from palm trees growing in the rainforests of the Amazon. These fruits, considered to be true "superfoods", have gained international popularity thanks to their unique health properties. Over the centuries, they have been a permanent element of the diet of the native inhabitants of the Amazon, playing the role of both food and medicine. The Acai palm can be found mainly in Brazil, where fruit is harvested and processed. These berries have naturally low durability, which is why they are most often found in the form of frozen pulp, powder or juice, instead of in fresh form.Acai berries - properties
