New Year's resolutions - why don't they work?
I think each of us happened to make far -reaching plans for the New Year. They often end in failure and disappointment.
Why is it so hard to cope with the challenges? Most often this is due to 0-1 approach, which unfortunately each of us has - if I eat a cake today, in the morning I will not eat breakfast, if I do not go to the gym tomorrow, I will stay in it 2 times longer.

Principle 1
Do not "punish" for eating something less valuable. Feeling of guilt means that we want to improve the mood, which often ends with a high -calorie snack - the circle closes. If you make sure that your meals are full -fledged, reaching for less valuable food from time to time, will not destroy the entire nutrition plan. It is similar in other spheres of life.
Principle 2
Set real goals. If you've ever seen the header "How to lose 5 kg in 2 weeks", then know that there is no shadow of the truth in it. 1 kg corresponds to 7,000 kcal, which in practice means that you would have to limit food by 2500 kcal per day. Given the average caloric demand, nothing should be eaten. Not only that such slimming is inefficient, it is extremely unhealthy.
Set a goal that is measured by real possibilities. If you want to lose weight, weight reduction should be 0.2-0.5 kg per week.
In order for the habits to be permanent, they must last min. 3 months. If you want to increase physical activity, start with short training
Principle 3
Think about your motivation - if your motivation is external stimuli, pursuit of the goal may not last long. Motivation should result from our inner desire to change. The best way to maintain it are visible effects, so let your goals start with the smallest - 10 minutes physical, but regular; Gradual sugar limitation in the diet, but not drastic elimination.
Principle 4
Remember to pursue your goal in small steps! We often put too much on our heads because we want to achieve as much as possible in the shortest possible time. Such a complete change in all habits often overwhelms us so we give up. We add too many responsibilities such as shopping, cooking, counting calories, training and as a result we do not have time for ourselves. And of course breaking with sweets! Each one can get out. And that's not what a healthy lifestyle is about!
