Creatine is primarily associated with the gym, but this is a simplification that does not reflect the full picture. The same ingredient supports the renewal of cellular energy throughout the body, including the brain, which is why it is increasingly used by people who never plan to lift weights. We have prepared a ranking of ten products available on the Polish market to show how they differ and what is really worth paying attention to when choosing.
Creatine - the most important information in a nutshell
Creatine is an organic chemical compound that the body produces on its own and additionally supplies it with the diet, mainly from meat and fish. It participates in the rapid renewal of cellular energy in the form of ATP, therefore it supports the work of both muscles and the brain, which consumes about 20% of the body's daily energy requirement.
The standard, recommended dose is 3-5 g per day, taken regularly, without the need to do the so-called charging phases. This is a practice from the 1990s, today considered unnecessary with constant, moderate supplementation.
The best creatine is not necessarily the one with the most milligrams on the label. What also matters is how much is actually absorbed, what it is combined with and whether supplementation fits into the daily routine conveniently enough to be used regularly, and not only for the first week.
What to check before purchasing?
Before choosing a specific product, it is worth checking six things: the form and technology of creatine, the amount of active ingredient per portion, whether the formula contains additives supporting its operation, the purity and transparency of the composition, the price per portion (not per package) and the convenience of everyday use. Only the combined assessment of these elements allows for a fair comparison of products that, at first glance, look very similar.
What is creatine used for? Most important applications
Creatine has a broader application than just supporting strength training. Below are the four areas where it is most often talked about, presented in an equivalent way.
Energy and daily vitality
Creatine supports the renewal of cellular energy, i.e. the work of all tissues with high energy demand, not only muscles. Phosphocreatine acts as an energy reserve that the body uses in times of increased effort, including those unrelated to physical activity, such as a long working day or sleep deprivation. This is why supplementation is sometimes recommended to people who experience low energy on a daily basis, regardless of whether they train or not.
Performance and regeneration during physical exercise
This is the most researched use of creatine. It supports performance during short, intense efforts and muscle regeneration after training. Hundreds of scientific studies, including the works of Buford TW, Kreider RB, Avgerinos KI and Rawson ES, confirm its effectiveness in this area. However, it is worth remembering that creatine does not replace a caloric deficit, protein in the diet or regeneration through sleep.
It is a supporting add-on, not a stand-alone solution. We have already written more about why creatine is one of the most effective supplements for energy, strength and regeneration on the blog.
Concentration and cognitive functions
In this area, research results are more diverse than in sports, but the direction is promising. A 2024 meta-analysis by Xu et al. (Frontiers in Nutrition), including 16 randomized trials and 492 participants, showed that creatine monohydrate supplementation improved memory, attention span and information processing speed, with the effect being more pronounced in women than in men.
The study by Gordji-Nejad et al. (Scientific Reports, 2024) showed that a high dose of creatine improved cognitive functions after 21 hours without sleep, and the effect lasted from 3.5 to 9 hours after administration. An earlier study by Watanabe et al. from 2002 showed reduced perception of mental fatigue during mathematical calculations after five days of supplementation.
This is still an area requiring further research, and the potential is particularly apparent in the presence of fatigue, sleep deprivation, and greater cognitive load, not necessarily in every person in every setting. We develop the topic in more detail in articles about creatine and cognitive functions, creatine by heart and liposomal creatine and brain function.
Convenience and comfort of daily supplementation
The effectiveness of a supplement largely depends on whether it is used regularly, and this in turn depends on convenience. The form of the product, i.e. powder, capsules, sachets or a ready-to-mix flavored drink, solubility and taste have a real impact on whether supplementation becomes a habit or is abandoned after two weeks.
How do we evaluate creatine? Ranking methodology
We based the ranking on six criteria: the form and technology of creatine, the amount of active ingredient per serving, bioavailability and absorption, additives supporting the action, purity and transparency of the composition, and the price per serving combined with the convenience of use. We assessed each of the ten products according to the same criteria, regardless of whether it is our own or a competitive product.
It is worth emphasizing that none of the evaluated competitive products uses liposomal technology. This form appears in Poland only in products SUPERSONIC.
This is a real technological difference, not a subjective marketing assessment, which is why it appears in the ranking as a separate criterion, not just an addition to the description. At the same time, no product is rated higher solely because it is ours, as can be seen in the comparison table: in terms of the sheer amount of creatine per serving, several competing products perform better than our own.
The ranking is informative and educational. It does not replace consultation with a doctor or dietitian, and before starting supplementation, especially in the case of chronic diseases or medications, it is worth consulting a specialist.
Creatine ranking - TOP 10
1. SUPERSONIC Flow Creatine
Flow Creatine is liposomal creatine in the form of a flavored drink, available in mango-passion fruit and strawberry-cherry variants. One serving (5 g) provides 3,800 mg of creatine monohydrate using LiposoMax® technology, which corresponds to 3,000 mg of pure creatine.
Flow Creatine uses LiposoMax® liposomal technology, in which creatine is enclosed in microscopic lipid structures. This solution was designed for effective delivery of the active ingredient and greater comfort of daily supplementation. Thanks to this, creatine can be part of a modern wellness routine and not just a training supplement.
Why does this formula stand out from the market?
None of the other nine products in this list offer a liposomal form. This is the only solution in the ranking designed with bioavailability in mind, and not just the creatine content on the label. In terms of the pure amount of creatine per serving (3000 mg), Flow Creatine is not the leader, several products offer more of it. The advantage lies elsewhere: in the modern technology of delivering the ingredient and in the company in which this creatine occurs.
Ingredients supporting the action of creatine
The formula is complemented by three ingredients. NALT (N-acetyl-L-tyrosine) is a tyrosine precursor, an ingredient used in products supporting concentration and mental performance. Siberian ginseng is an adaptogen traditionally used in periods of fatigue and intense exercise. B vitamins help reduce the feeling of fatigue and support the proper functioning of the nervous system. Together they create a formula designed for the effective use of the active ingredient, and not just about creatine itself in isolation.
Advantages and limitations
The advantages include the unique liposomal technology on the market, the convenient form of a flavored drink and the well-thought-out synergy with NALT, ginseng and B vitamins. The disadvantages include the higher price per portion than in most of the other products in the ranking and the lower content of pure creatine than in several competing formulas, which may be an argument against it for people who count only milligrams.
Who is it best for?
Flow Creatine will work well for people who work intensively mentally and who are looking for support for energy and concentration during the day, but do not necessarily strength train. It is also a good choice for people who have already tried regular creatine and are looking for a form that is more convenient to use or better tolerated by the digestive system.

2. Natu.Care Creatine + B6
Natu.Care Creatine + B6 is a powder available in several flavors: mango-passion fruit, currant-grape, yuzu-lime and unflavored. A portion (5 g) provides 5000 mg of creatine monohydrate, including 4400 mg of pure creatine, and 1.4 mg of vitamin B6 (100% RWS).
Form and composition
It is ordinary creatine monohydrate without technology supporting absorption, supplemented with one vitamin. The composition is complemented by citric acid, natural flavors, carrot dye and stevia as a sweetener.
Advantages and limitations
The advantage is the high content of pure creatine per serving, 4,400 mg, which is more than in Flow Creatine, and a recognizable, established brand on the Polish supplement market. The limitation is the lack of any technology to increase absorption. The addition of a single vitamin B6 is a much more modest synergy than the combination of three ingredients in Flow Creatine, despite similar communication positioning, because the brand also emphasizes the support of concentration and brain function.
Price and price per portion
At a price of PLN 59 for 60 servings, it comes to PLN 0.98 per serving, which is much cheaper than Flow Creatine.
Who is it best for?
A good choice for people who want a high dose of pure creatine at a reasonable price and accept the lack of advanced absorption technology.
3. Optimum Nutrition Creatine 2500 Caps
Optimum Nutrition Creatine 2500 Caps are capsules with Creapure® creatine monohydrate, a German raw material considered to be one of the purest on the market. A serving (2 capsules) provides 2500 mg of creatine monohydrate.
Form and composition
Creapure® is a patented German creatine monohydrate, valued for its high purity and repeatability of quality between production batches. The capsules do not contain any flavoring or supporting additives.
Advantages and limitations
The advantage is a globally recognized brand and raw materials of high, confirmed purity. It is the strongest quality competitor in this ranking in terms of the purity of the monohydrate. The limitation is the lack of any ingredients supporting the absorption or action of creatine and the highest price per serving among competing products in the ranking.
Who is it best for?
It will work well for people for whom the purity and repeatability of the raw material are most important, and the capsule form, without the need to dissolve it in water, is an important advantage.
4. Olimp Creatine 1250 Mega Caps
Olimp Creatine 1250 Mega Caps is a Polish, widely recognized sports brand. One capsule contains 1,250 mg of highly micronized creatine monohydrate, and the recommended daily dose is four capsules, which gives 5,000 mg of monohydrate, including 4,400 mg of pure creatine.
Form and composition
The composition is 89.3% micronized creatine monohydrate, supplemented with microcrystalline cellulose as a filler and magnesium salts of fatty acids as an anti-caking agent.
Advantages and limitations
The advantages include the highest brand recognition among all products in the ranking and the high content of pure creatine in the daily portion. The disadvantages are the need to take as many as four capsules a day, which is less convenient than one portion of powder or drink, and the lack of any supporting additives.
Who is it best for?
A good choice for people who prefer capsules over powder and value brand recognition and availability in stationary stores.
5. Trec Creatine Micronized 200 Mesh
Trec Creatine Micronized 200 Mesh is an encapsulated, micronized creatine monohydrate from a recognized Polish brand. One capsule contains 0.7 g of creatine, and the recommended dose, i.e. 3 capsules taken twice a day, provides approximately 2100 mg of creatine per single serving.
Form and composition
The composition is 85.9% creatine monohydrate, gelatin capsule shell and magnesium salts of fatty acids as an anti-caking agent. Micronization, i.e. the "200 mesh" degree, means very fine fragmentation of particles, which facilitates dissolution, although it is not an absorption technology comparable to the liposomal form.
Advantages and limitations
The advantage is a well-established brand and micronization technology that improves solubility. The limitation is the lowest creatine content per single serving among all products in the ranking and the need to take two servings a day.
Who is it best for?
It will work well for people who prefer to divide their daily dose into two smaller portions and do not mind taking capsules several times a day.
6. OstroVit Creatine Monohydrate
OstroVit is one of the most popular supplement brands in Poland in terms of sales volume. The flavored version of creatine monohydrate provides 2600 mg of creatine monohydrate per serving (4 g).
Form and composition
The product contains creatine monohydrate as the main active ingredient, without additional substances supporting absorption. It is worth noting that the unflavored version of the same brand declares a higher creatine content per serving weight (3,400 mg) than the flavored version (2,600 mg). The difference is explained by the addition of flavors and sweeteners in the flavored version, but it is a good example of why it is worth reading the label of a specific variant, and not just the name of the product.
Advantages and limitations
The advantage is a very low price per portion and huge availability of the product in stationary and online stores. The limitation is the lower creatine content per serving than in most other products and the lack of any technology or supporting additives.
Who is it best for?
A good budget choice for people who are looking for a basic, proven form of creatine without additives and do not care about advanced technology.
7. Aura Herbals Creatine Monohydrate
Aura Herbals offers creatine monohydrate in sachets, which is a convenient form of portioning. One sachet (3.41 g) contains 3000 mg of pure creatine.
Form and composition
The composition is only creatine monohydrate, without fillers, preservatives or flavor additives. This is one of the simplest formulas in the ranking.
Advantages and limitations
The advantage is 100% pure composition and convenient, ready-made sachets that eliminate the need to measure with a measuring cup. The limitation is the lack of any additives to support the action and the lack of technology to improve absorption.
Who is it best for?
It will work well for people who value the convenience of ready-made sachets and are looking for the simplest possible formula, without additives.
8. WK Dzik Creatine Cola-Lemon
WK Dzik is a brand known for flavored products with unusual, recognizable flavor profiles. Creatine Cola-Lemon provides 3000 mg of pure creatine per serving (4.1 g).
Form and composition
The composition is creatine monohydrate, aroma, citric acid as an acidity regulator and sucralose as a sweetener. This is the only product, next to Flow Creatine, in the ranking with a clearly accentuated taste, although in the form of a powder, not a ready-made drink.
Advantages and limitations
The advantage is a distinct, recognizable taste and a large, long-lasting package (90 servings). The limitation is the lack of supporting additives and the lack of absorption technology.
Who is it best for?
A good choice for people who do not like the taste of ordinary, tasteless monohydrate and are looking for a large package for a long time of use.
9. KFD Premium Creatine
KFD Premium Creatine is a powder available in several flavors, including green apple and pineapple-orange. A portion (5 g) provides 4609 mg of creatine monohydrate, including 4055 mg of pure creatine.
Form and composition
The composition is creatine monohydrate as the main ingredient, supplemented with citric acid, flavor and sucralose.
Advantages and limitations
The advantage is the high content of pure creatine per serving, the second highest in the ranking after Olimp and Natu.Care, with one of the lowest prices per serving. The limitation is, as with most products in this list, the lack of technology supporting absorption and the lack of functional additives.
Who is it best for?
It will work well for people who are looking for a large dose of pure creatine at a low price and do not care about additional ingredients.
10. ALLNUTRITION Creatine Muscle Max
ALLNUTRITION Creatine Muscle Max is a powder with added taurine. A serving (3 g) provides 2,700 mg of creatine monohydrate, including 2,376 mg of pure creatine and 300 mg of taurine.
Form and composition
The composition is creatine monohydrate, taurine, citric acid as an acidity regulator, flavor and sucralose. The addition of taurine is one of the few cases in this list, next to Flow Creatine, where the manufacturer decided to enrich the formula with an additional ingredient.
Advantages and limitations
The advantage is a very low price and the addition of taurine, an amino acid popular in energy products. The limitation is the lowest content of pure creatine per serving among all products in the ranking and the lack of absorption technology.
Who is it best for?
A good, budget choice for people who are looking for the lowest possible price and accept a lower dose of creatine per single serving.

How to choose the right creatine for you?
Choosing the best creatine depends on what you are actually looking for. If the priority is the lowest price per gram of pure creatine, products such as ALLNUTRITION, KFD or OstroVit will be a rational choice. If you care about maximum purity of the raw material, Optimum Nutrition with Creapure® is a proven premium choice. However, if you are looking for something more than just creatine, i.e. support for concentration, a convenient form of a drink and technology designed with absorption in mind, Flow Creatine is the only product in this list that combines these three elements at once.
None of the remaining nine products offer a liposomal form, so if bioavailability is more important to you than the weight on the label, your choice is realistically limited to one solution available on the Polish market.
FAQ - frequently asked questions
1. Is more expensive creatine always better?
NO. The price often depends on the technology, for example liposomal, or the purity of the raw material, as in the case of Creapure®, and not on the amount of creatine per serving. Several of the cheapest products in the ranking have more pure creatine than the more expensive ones.
2. Do I need to do a charging phase?
No, this is a practice considered unnecessary today. Regular supplementation of smaller, constant doses, 3-5 g per day, allows you to achieve a similar effect in a more stable way.
3. What is the difference between liposomal creatine and regular monohydrate?
Liposomal creatine is enclosed in microscopic lipid structures, which has been designed for more effective delivery of the active ingredient. Regular monohydrate does not have this additional technological layer.
4. Does creatine only work on muscles?
Not only that. It is involved in the renewal of cellular energy throughout the body, including the brain, which is why it is also associated with the topic of concentration and cognitive functions, although research in this area is less clear than in the context of sports.
5. How much creatine should you take per day?
The standard recommended dose is 3-5 g per day, regardless of whether it is a training day or not.
6. Is creatine safe for health?
In healthy people, standard creatine supplementation is considered well-studied and usually well tolerated. People with chronic diseases, taking medications or who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult supplementation with a doctor. We wrote more about the safety of creatine in the article about creatine and the liver.
